I know it is a silly question....but in average...according to your experience? In my last preg , a year ago, which was ended in its 4th month sue to death of the baby(was tangled in the cord), I got preg after 4 months of trying, I was 41.

Now I am 42...9 months after d&c ,and we can't get preg. I am healthy, no specific problems, have 2 kids, my husband is healthy, have sex every day...but still can't make it. Any suggestions?Thank you

What can I do next?

I don't know the medical answer to this but I think it is possible to get pregnant soon after a D&C. I had one after a birth due to placenta being retained but I don't think it would make pregnancy difficult. I didn't get pregnant with the next child until 10 months later but wasn't trying to either. I would relax and be patient and maybe that will help. I'm sorry you lost your baby in the 4th month.

It truly does depend on the individual. I know that's not very helpful to you, but I know as many women in their early 40s who have accidentally gotten pregnant without even trying as I do women in their early 40s who try and try and cannot get pregnant. Most doctors will tell you it's MUCH harder to conceive once you're in your 40s -the further in , the harder it is. Case in point -have one good friend who got pregnant completely by accident and it was an unwanted pregnancy when she was 41. Another good friend really tried in her early 40s and never could get pregnant -and her doctor told her it was going to be nearly impossible for her and it was. I just turned 40, but with the way I seem to get pregnant, I bet I could be pregnant in a month if I wanted to be. The D&C (other than recuperating from it) shouldn't have bearing on you actually being able to conceive. Depending on how many people respond, you'll probably see quite a spread here.

I had a d&c and got pregnant 5 months later. My doctor told me to wait until I got my cycle back, so I did, so that was after 4 months of actually trying. Just my experience, as you know, everyone is different!
