I have several cans about the size of a large coffee can and I have made a cute nic knack can out of them before but I was wondering if any one else has had useful ideas for recycling them.

What can I do next?

paint it, tie a ribbon around it and use it to hold flowers on a shelf, pens/pencils/markers in an office, brushes in a bathroom, BBQ tools outside. If you have a lot of them, it might be cute to paint them outside and inside and line them up side by side in a couple of rows. Nail or glue them to a bulletin board, wooden board to make little cubby's to store toys or "stuff".

hmm...put rocks at the bottom & a couple of holes along w/ potting soil & make planters =) Might be a great idea for a preschool or kindergarden.
I use soup or vege cans for pencil/pen holders (label removed of course) & also glued a ribbon around a few & put plastic utensils in them for get togethers.

I've painted it and used it as a "gift box"...
a canister for kitchen utensils...
The kids love to decorate them with stickers and use them as drums...
A container for kid's toys, game pieces or small tools in the garage...

Here's a website I found

I've heard you can reuse them to seal food again but I'm not sure if that's true
