Juice Plus products for almost 11 years. They have gummies for kids, but I used to open the capsules and sprinkle on food and in smoothies.
I looked at the Sneaky Chef at the time, but found it way to time consuming.
Do you use any NATURAL supplements in your food preparation? I'm interested in things that I can easily "sneak" or sprinkle into foods to make our diet more healthy and balanced.
I have 2 toddler girls and a hubby who doesn't like veggies. The toddlers are also adverse to most meats. We eat a lot of whole grains and fruit, and I recently started the sneaky chef method of pureed veggies in sauces and smoothies. We take our daily multi-vitamin and am not interested in mega-vitamins or the sort.
Thanks in advance for all your great ideas!
Great ideas here! I esp. like the greens and got a "greens" powder to put in water for a juice--haven't tried it yet, I hope it's worth it! Any ideas on preserving spinach? I like chopping it up and putting it in dishes, but I can't seem to use it fast enough before they wilt and get soggy in the fridge. I like the fiber and flax ideas too--should I be concerned about the toddlers getting too much?

Spinach or other greens in smoothies (wild blueberries cover the green and make it look great.) Also one of Shaklee's protein sources.
Finely chopped onion and pressed garlic in dishes like chicken parmesan, spaghetti, tacos, etc.
I put in Arbonne's Fiber Booster no one even knows they are eating it, I make protein bars (honey, organic oatmeal, organic peanut butter or almond butter and Arbonne's Chocolate and vanilla protein shake powder) my grandson asks for those all day long and he loves the shake he thinks he is drinking chocolate milk but he also loves the vanilla. I also get Almond Milk for cereal and drinking. If you want to know more about the things I use please PM me for my info.
I haven't read any other answers, but have you ever heard of GREENS by IT WORKS? It's a orange flavored powder and each serving has the nutritional value of 7+ servings of fruits and veggies. It's blend of 38 herbs and nutrient rich "super foods" that provide vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and enzymes in their naturally-occurring, bio-active, bio-available form. Kids love it mixed w/ fruit juice as it tastes yummy :-) Just message me if you'd like to give it a try or would like more info. Thank you!

We give our kids amazing grass kidz superfood choco in their milk everyday. They love it and I feel better knowing they are getting some additional whole food supplementation in their day (check out all the stuff in it http://www.amazinggrass.com/nutritional-breakdown-kidz-su... ). I dont sell the stuff, I just love it because my oldest is a really really picky eater and this is something he has "allowed" in his list of food/drink for several years now. My youngest (16 months) now drinks it too!
We also give them a liquid multi too. Sometimes we sprinkle a powder probiotic into something they are eating/drinking, but they usually eat yogurt so we dont worry about this too much.
Sometimes I sneak in egg white protein into smoothies etc. Comes in several flavors too!
I would not resort to Vitamin Pills, as they just aren't great for the body, more for the companies wallets. But: use coconut oil. You can cook with it or mix it into desserts. So healthy!
I use recipes out of Jessica Seinfeld cookbook. The best is the meatball soup!
I'll sprinkle in ground flax seed (you can buy at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods) in cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, recipes for cookies/cake/bread. You'll be sneaking in omega-3 fatty acids, lignans (great antioxidant qualities), and fiber.
When baking, I will substitute half the flour with whole wheal flour.
If your hubby doesn't like veggies, that's tough. But it's important for your 2 toddler girls to eat veggies. What may help if they start helping you cook. I find that if they help make it, they will eat it! Find some fun recipes with veggies they can help you cook.
