What does it mean if your iron levels are too low. What can happen?
Oh wow... a lot of little things involved with low iron. Thanks mama's for your input. I did google some, but was nice to get some people points of view. :-)
My energy level is low, no get up and go. Lots of idea's to do things. I have noticed a bit of sadness that seems to overcome me at times. I am going to see if low iron has anything to do with me.

Low iron levels contribute to anemia, fatigue, poor immunity and even depression.
Low iron is dangerous because it's important to your red blood cells and has something to do with how much oxygen is in your blood. Being anemic will make you very weak and can compromise your immune system.
I was anemic and had a weird craving for ice cubes. Some people crave dirt and paper, etc. Google "anemic" and see what comes up. Or ask your doctor. Likely you will be told to take an iron suppliment. Good luck.
Did you ask your doctor?
When my iron is low, I feel exhausted all the time. No energy at all. An additional iron supplement makes me start to feel better within a few days.
Important note though - too much iron in your diet is also very dangerous. You should talk to your doctor to find out how much extra you should take, and do not take more than that amount.
