What are moms doing with thier pump and other breastfeeding equipment (freezer storage basins, car adapter, etc) after they are done breastfeeding? I have heard that it is not a good idea to use another woman's pump since breast milk is bodily fluid, so I doubt there would be a market to sell it?
the one i have was sold to me by a friend who was done using it. i just washed and sterilized the parts that would come into contact with the milk (though other friends i know have just bought those parts new if they used a pre-used pump) and reveled in the fact that i got a $250 breast pump for $50. :)
Ebay! Depending on the type of pump, you can make some good $$$ reselling it.
Don't worry about the transfer of body fluids, because w/electric pumps (Medela, etc.), the milk never touches anything other than the flanges and the bottles (both of which can be washed/sterilized). The only ones that say you can't resell a pump are the pump manufacturers. Hmmmmmmmm.....wonder why???
you can freecycle it or sell it!
If it's the Ameda brand, you can definitely resell it or pass it on. One reason my midwife highly recommended Ameda to me.
