Hi Moms,
I had the flu (stomach virus) end of January. For the last week I've had a sore like feeling pain across the top of my stomach. I do have a large hyernia on my right side but it usually is not a bother and I was told on the last cat scan there were also two other small hyrnias. Could this be a hyernia problem. It eases when I sit and if I burp and gets worse with non moving standing and eating cause it to intensify I also have had constipation since being sick and taking anti-Diarrhea medicine during the virus.I just want to know what any of you might think it could be: constipation, hyernia, or something else?

What can I do next?

Google "hernias" for symptom information.

Personally, I would go get looked at by my PCP.

Good luck!

You really need to see your doctor pronto. Don't try to self-diagnose this one.

Also, if you're taking any medications to try to correct this because you're guessing what it is, I would stop that. It could make things worse.

Pancreatitis maybe? You can get a blood test to check for it.

You have a lot of Hernias.
See a Specialist.
Keep in mind, that Hernias can... get worse and lead to complications. ie: it 'strangulating.' By then, that is an emergency situation.
My daughter at 7 years old, had a Hernia. And she had to have surgery for it. She was getting lots of pain, more so when doing certain things/movements or when exerting herself.

Have you ever, seen a Specialist, to assess your Hernias?
You should do so.

Or just go to a Doctor anyway.
You have pain and you need to see what is wrong.

My son kept getting pains in the upper part of his tummy that got worse when he ate. X-rays showed he had poop compacted in his upper intestine. They gave him some Rx stuff to mix in his drinks and it eventually cleared up. Talk to your doctor.
