Hi ladies,
I live in the 70's on the Upper West Side in NYC and am trying to decide what, if any, classes I should put my 8 month old little boy into. He's pretty active - crawling, standing by himself and trying to walk. I'm open to anything including music classes, gym classes, etc.
I'm curious to hear what classes you tried, what you liked and didn't like, where I'll get the most bang for my buck, and what you'd recommend.
Thanks so much!

Music Together; New York Kids' Club; Hands on 4 Music; Creative Play For Kids are all good. I'm not sure about NY Kids' Club, but all the others offer free trail classes. You may want to try them out. Personally, I recommend the Music Together for infants, but it really depends on your baby's personality.
Good Luck : )
Hi J.,
Your local library offers free babies and books classes once a week. Find the schedule online. Its great. I wish I had known about it when my son was younger but now we go to the toddler time. : )
Hi, I have a daughter who is almost 9 months old and very active; we just completed a 10-week session of Kindermusic Sign & Sing class. It was great! She loved going and hanging out with all the other kids. While she is still too little to be able to make any of the signs, she really enjoyed watching everyone else around her sign and sign and play with the fun toys. The kids in the class ranged in age from 7 mos - 14 mos, so it was a nice mix. We learned a lot of songs and activities in the calss that we do with her at home every day, and she loves it, and always starts laughing whenever she hears one of the songs or we start making the signs.
We took the class at a local studio in Jersey City where we live, but I'm sure they have plenty of places like that on the UWS.
good luck!
Hi J.,
My son LOVED Hands-On A Musical Learning Experience. They have a location on 85th & Columbus and I think there's one in the 60s or 70s on the West Side, too. If you go, our teacher was Lara and she was really terrific with the kids! Good luck, K.
