I need extra income to support my kids's needs. One of my sidelines is to sell crafts and participate in a trade fair.

What can I do next?

I deleted my post because I saw your history and you're trying to promote your postcard printing business. You used your daughters birthday a couple months ago. In every one of your posts there is a response from Ralleymae naming YOUR company with hyperlink provided. Bleck, be honest!

Ah...the age old question....

A few ideas used in professional industry:

•Something very unique at the booth/table (on display) Can be a unique/new craft idea or just something LARGE and/or UNUSUAL that people might come closer to check out.

•Cute bags that you can GIVE AWAY (no purchase necessary) so people are carrying YOUR ads around the event. (You can get inexpensive kraft paper bags and stamp or sticker your name/logo/info on them if you don't want to purchase professionally made bags)

•IF the venue advertises the event, take out an ad, and have customers bring your ad to place in a drawing for something.

•Give something away--cookies, kisses are fine--but better to have something with your name & phone number on it! (Magnet, pencils, etc.)

Good luck!

How about offering a cold drink (for a hot day) or a hot drink (for a cold day) to draw people to your booth? Who can say no to a .10 cent cup of lemonade with a cute little sign? The hard part is getting people to the booth. For me, little tricks like that help. Be aware of weather for the fair.

R., I also checked your history and it appears that either you ARE Ralleymae via another Mamapedia account, and put up these posts just so you can respond to your own posts with a plug for a postcard business, or she is a different person but you both agreed to have her submit a post on all your posts, always featuring this business's web site.

If this is not the case and your posts are for real -- you need to let "Rallymae" know to lay off because she's making it look like your posts are just cover for stealth advertising. Your posts, if they're real, are now being undermined because they're looking like an underhanded way to try to advertise for free.

If Rallymae is just a very assertive marketer for her own business and is not YOU -- she needs to cool it.
