D.K.
My son is 6-1/2. He is being a tiger. We made his costume today. He was a cheetah last year and a lion the year before. I sense a theme.
Moms,
This is just a fun question. I was just curious what other peoples kids are being for halloween, if you celebrate it.
My 12 y/o son is being Rodrick, from Diary of a Wimpy Kid. My 11 y/o daughter is being a Ballerina. My 8 y/o daughter is being a 20's flapper. My 5 y/o daughter is being a Princess. And I am dressing my 5 month y/o daughter up as Snow White.
Have a great Halloween!!!!!
Thanks for sharing! You moms gave me some ideas to tell my kids for halloween next year. Oh wait, why am I thinking of next year now, lol. Happy Halloween!!!

9y/o son is being a clown
*B/C I begged him, I found THE COOLEST homemade knickers w/suspenders that someone made at the Thrift Store...had to get it and it's his size!
7y/o is being a ninja
*I lucked out and found a black karate outfit, w/a undershirt that has a hood at the same Thrift Store...and I made him a mask!
4y/o is going as a Geanie/Geenie, (sp?) like in a bottle?
*Yup, you guessed it, I found it at the thrift store and w/a body suit and leggings underneath she will be warm!
~I seriously rocked it this year...got all 3 costumes that are just killer...for $22! I do still need to go get face make-up for my clown tho--shoot, better get on that!
My 2 y/o is being Dorothy (from Wizard of Oz) or as she says, "Dorfy"- my mom is sewing up the little blue pinafore and I got the red shoes and the basket, SO cute on a tiny tot! She was really into the movie all summer so she decided this herself.
My 5 y/o decided to go with the Oz theme and be Glinda the Good witch. We're doctoring up one of those cheapo disney princess costumes to make it look less Sleeping Beauty and more Glinda... I did order the Glinda hat/crown online for 7 bucks and it just makes it.
Be? You mean - were. Our weird state does Halloween the Sunday before Halloween. The schools do it the week before. So, thus far, we have worn our costumes 4 times and have TOTed 3 times LOL The kids are sick of Halloween and it's not even Halloween yet. :)
They were-
Ninja
Midnight fairy
Ninja Turtle
My son (23 months) is going to be Rocky Balboa! My husband found flag swim trunks for him last year in October and he had to get them for him. I am making a robe for him, and we got boxing gloves, but I don't think he will wear them. He also has a grey sweatsuit with a black cap and converse sneakers that he wore for his "training."
My husband and I have decided that we will make a little video each Halloween of him and our upcoming baby. This year it is the Eye of the Tiger, and last year we did the star wars song because our boy was Yoda.
My 3 year old is Belle, her choice. My 9 month old twins are going to be Clark Kent and Superman.
10yr old boy - Link from Legend of Zelda video game.
8yr old daughter - Cleopatra!
My 5 yo DD is dressing up as candy corn fairy - she's got a dress as well as hair boppers and wings that look like candy corn, with the white, orange and yellow. Unfortunately tomorrow they are predicting rain, strong winds, and temps in the lower 40s, so I don't know how it will work out with being bundled up!
my daughter is going to be a peacock
Thanks to Sandy Halloween was cancelled!
7 year old will be Cap'n Jack style pirate, six year old will be the Grim Reaper, and four year old will be an old-style vampire.
Ezzio from Assassins Creed is my boyo
Red Riding Hood is Moi
My son is going to be batman and my daughter is going to be Harley Quinn(she really is Harlee Quinn)
My 13 yo daughter is going as the Green Lantern, and my 11 yo daughter, who last year went as bacon, is going this year as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man! She kills me!
My son is 5. He wore the costume that my mother sent him last weekend to the botanical gardens. They have a pumpkin patch, and sometimes have some Halloween decorations. This year must have been a bad year for their pumpkins because they only had three. He was a train engineer with overalls, a bandana, hat and gloves. It was cute and he can wear it minus the bandana and gloves for regular clothes afterwards.
We went trick- or- treating with my friends English conversation school on Saturday afternoon. My church also had a Halloween party. My son picked out a firefighter costume for trick-or-treating and the party. Even though we ordered it early, we didn't have time to return it. It was a little big, but we somehow made it work. He may be able to use it next year too if he wants. Or at least he can have a lot of time to play dress up with it. He may even be able to use the jacket as his jacket this fall and then again in the spring. It's just starting to feel like fall this week.
Then today, he took the bandana and put it on his head and told me he was going to be a pirate for the day. He is currently dancing around wearing his fish shaped hat on his head with a snake stuffed animal wrapped around his waist, mittens on his hands, and his cowboy boot slippers on his feet. He just told me that he is Super Fish-snake boy. He is holding an empty saran wrap paper roll in one hand (his sword) and his little people airport umbrella in the other (his shield.) Halloween is so much fun.
I wanted to be a bumble bee this year, but didn't have enough time to make a costume. I was going to use yellow tape on a black shirt, a funnel for the stinger, and a swim cap on my head, and a hanger with some tuille wrapped around it for wings. But like usual, I ended up wearing my old cat ears and tale and painting my face instead.
It's already Halloween here.
My oldest (13) is going to be an army man. Dressing in the fatigues that my brother in law gave him. And a hat the was my daddys. And my youngest 10 is going as a gymnast. We didn't have the money this year to get new costumes so we decided to get creative. My youngest will wear his competition wind suite and his gold medal he won at his first competition. My youngest I think was upset but he's gotten over it.
How cute! My 2 year old is going to be a 20's flapper and my 3 month old is going to be a pumpkin. Happy Halloween!
My son is Captain America..He looks so cute in the costume!
My daughter is going to be Tigger, and her two best friends are Piglet and Pooh (they are 13.)
My 3.5 year old is going to be Cinderella and her 1.5 year old brother is.going to be one of her mouse friends, if he doesn't get heat exhaustion from his fully fuzzy suit and hood. I was supposed to be stepsister Anastasia and Daddy-Prince Charming, but I still haven't made it to GoodWill yet.
All four of us are going as Lego minifigures. My daughter will be a princess, my son will be a night. Hubby and I will be the king and queen.
My children are going to be zombies. My daughter, 9 is going to be similar to the ones on The Walking Dead whereas my son who is 5 will probably only let me put a tiny bit of costume makeup on him so we'll see how that goes. We're staying in watching movies no ToTing seeing as the weather is nasty and besides this gives us a chance to relax on a school night.
my 3 month old daughter is going to be a giraffe.. im thinking im just going to dress her up tomorrow and take pictures even though there wont be a halloween around here because of the hurricane, theyre going to reschedule it for another day
My 9 year old son is going as a skeleton. My 12 year old daughter is going to be a mouse and my 5 year old daughter is going to be a cat.
Have fun!!
8 year old daughter is a cat, and 5 year old daughter is a power ranger.
easy this year - my boys all wanted to be super heros
5 yr old - Iron Man
3 yr old - Spider Man
1 yr old - the Hulk - to match his toddler split personality and tantrums
Don't tell your sons, but my adult son went me his photo EXOTIC DANCER! Hmmmmmmmmmm
The Grim Reaper and an Evil Clown. I am not sure if the parkas will fit under those costumes, ao I may have to pull something else out last minute.
Vampiress and Buddy from Dinosaur Train...
I'm a going to be a kitty(ears and tail, really generic) and she's going as Frankie Stien from Monster High.
4 year old son is Batman
3 year old daughter is a cheerleader
My seven year old is a spider. She never wants anything traditional (in the sense that we can go buy it), so we always have to make her costumes from scratch. When she two she wanted to be a pancake...we made a pancake costume.
My two year old is a pirate. She's a younger two and doesn't "really" get the idea, but she LOVES pirates, so I just figured we'd go with that. Knowing her, however, she will balk and throw a fit at the idea of wearing a costume.
My 2y/o is a "Ben-guin"... his name is Ben and he is a penguin for Halloween! :-) Happy Halloween! :-D
My daughter is Arrietty from the Secret Life of Arrietty (the story about the Borrowers).
