That sounds like a great idea! I'm not getting my husband anything since he totally ignored Mother's Day.
I'm almost sure I'm going to get mine 2 tickets to tour Cowboy Stadium with my stepson. I think it would cool to take his 17 yr old son and throw passes on the field. Or maybe that's totally corny. What are ya'll going to get your hubbys?
Some of your answers make me feel like a great wife! Thanks Ladies! My husband is a great, hands on dad. I want to thank him for that and I think Fathers Day is a great time to do it. He made me dinner for Mother's Day. I'm going to go with the Cowboy Tour and maybe a Cowboys jersey if I can swing it. True, it blows his gift out of the water. lol But, it's not a contest. And his gift was sincere, from the heart, and handmade. If your hubby didn't get you anything, why not lead by example! Get him a guilt inducing present so he won't make that mistake again next year.

it's your husband and you know what he would like. don't go by what other moms and wives are doing. your idea sounds liek a great idea for the football fan.
I'm going to get him a pocket watch and get it engraved with a sloppy message. Hopefully he will keep it in good condition so he can pass it down to a grandson in years to come.

I am always checking one-day-deal sites like dailysteals.com and woot.com. SO, this year DH is getting quite a few things but I didn't spend much!! He's getting:
2 golf clubs
watch
cuff link/tie clip set
wireless ear phones
magnetic wrist wrap thing that you can throw screws and nails and drill bits on in the middle of a project so they don't get lost
I think that's it...I'd have to look under the bed to see if I missed anything ;) Your idea sounds fun! I wonder if the Colts Stadium does this. My boys are too young right now, but maybe in the future? His company has a yearly flag football game and one of the guys bid on and won time on the old field before they tore it down to build Lucas Oil. They got to play their game on the Colts' field that year! He got a real kick out of that:)
A kiss in the cheek...lol...do not buy into these things.
The kids will make him something. I asked him what he wanted and he said "chocolate and some good lovin'". So that's what he's getting! :o)
My husband buys everything he wants when he wants it so gifts can be hard. So (talk about corny) I'm getting mine a snow cone machine with all the accessories. Everytime we see them at the store he mentions getting one "for the kids" but he's the one that LOVES snow cones. I think it will be fun and I know he'll like it. For Valentines day I got him that "as seen on TV" perfect brownie pan because he had mentioned how nice it would be for "some people". Yep he LOVES it and uses it all the time!
I think you know your hubby and he'll love whatever you get him because chances are it will be something he wants that he wouldn't get himself.
I think your idea is awesome and will totally win you some cool points from both of them.
I'm making my husband a photo book from shutterfly and getting him a handstamped dogtag style keychain with our son's birthdate on it. My son is only 2. I can't wait to be able to do the more hands on gifts like yours :)
A handwritten note expressing what I appreciate in his character that makes him a superb father and husband.
And.... maybe his favorite meal which I'll cook with my 14 year old so he can get exposed to kitchen and cooking skills! Total win win win!
I got his gift and gave it to him early. He got an Xbox 360 with 250 gig hard drive as his system broke..honestly we was broke for Mother's Day so he just took me out for breakfast
Oh my gosh!! That's not corny at all, in fact I'm going to STEAL that idea!! My husband will go NUTS over that! Thanks for the tip! P.S. Two years ago I got my husband the chance to drive a stock car around Texas Motor Speedway...your husband may like that too if he's a sports fan in North Texas. Maybe do that next year.... =D
Same thing I got: "Happy Fill-in-the-Blank's Day, Honey." He'll get home-made cards from our daughters, I'm sure, but they're old enough to be responsible for that themselves. My DAD, however, will get an overseas phone call or e-card, since he IS my father.
