I purchased a Wii yesterday and would like to know what those who have one as well think are the additional items I should purchase. It came with the sports games and I have allready purchased the sports gear, an extra controller and an extra Nunchuck. Any other good tips would be great as well.

Thanks

What can I do next?

My husband has a Wii, and LOVES it. He's retired military, so he's home a lot; it gives him something to do.

Recently I bought him a charger--it's a dock that the remotes go into, that recharge the batteries. Probably the best thing I could have bought, because he was going through batteries pretty quickly. It was less than $30 at Walmart.

We also got him a wireless sensor bar. Not a necessity, but it's one less cord to deal with in that area.

Another great thing he did was to join gamefly.com. It's similar to netflix, but for video games. Since the games are so expensive, he wanted to be able to try them out first, so he went with gamefly. They send him games, he tries them out, and if he wants, he can keep them--he gets to buy them used, and just keep the one he has, so he knows it isn't going to be scratched or anything. It's saved a lot of money, because he knows he likes the game before he goes out and buys it.

Hope this helps you!

You have two controllers, that's great. I would highly suggest the purchase of Wii Play and Wario. These are fun. The Wii Play is very much like the Wii Sports (I think that is what you were referring to when you say you already purchased "the sports gear").

Personally, I would let the 21-year-old and 23-year-old purchase something of their own, if they want, and I would highly suggest staying away from Grand Theft Auto IV or games rated "T"een around your granddaughter. The difference I find between the "E"veryone and "E+10" is that the latter introduces some cuss words. Good luck!

These are so fun. Your 12 year old would love the dance dance revolution, it also has exercise part to it. We recently got it as a gift, but I haven't checked out the exceruse part. I plan too. My girls love it, they are 7 and 9. My husband has the racing with steering wheel, it's pretty good he said, but not as good as the one's he used on computer. Have Fun!!!
