Hello PJP, I just recently started babysitting for my neighbor-friend, I watch her 2 and ahalf year old son for 10 hours on Thursday's and for 6 hours on Saturday's, I also pick up her 6 year old from school around 3 o'clock on Thursdays, I also have 3 kids of my own, my childrens ages are 11, 7 and 2 and ahalf. I don't mind doing it but it is alot of work. I feed them and do alot of activities with them as well. She pays me every two weeks and it's $200.00, she has YET to pay me. I have aton of experienc with children, I come from a huge family and have 26 neices and nephews, i did my fair share in babysitting for them as well :) I did'nt give my neighbor a "set" price on being paid, she set the price and im fine with it. But since the baby that you are going to be watching it practically a newborn you would have to consider that you are going to have to work out a schedule, I would do $10 an hour and see what she say's? I hope I was some help to your question! Good Luck!
