My son just had his, the exam was like any other, the shots were terrible for my son though, not fun!
My daughter's 4 year is coming up soon and I've heard its the worst check-up so far...Just curious about everything they did at your childs check-up? Thanks!

I think it depends on your doc and the shot schedule they have your child on. We separated the well child visit from the shots because my son was just starting to like and trust the doctor. We took him back a month later for 6 shots. It was horrible. The actual doctor visit was no big deal, just like any other well child check.
My son had his 4 year check up earlier this week it included the following
eye sight test, hearing test, blood pressure, weight, height, and he needed two shots (MMR and Chicken pox) He also got a TB test done which was required by his preschool program.
The doc came in to do the exam. Asked me a few questions and quizzed my son on his colors, counting and asked him to jump. Which I thought was kind of funny.
Doc. said I had a healthy happy boy and we were out of there. It was a little longer of a visit then usually but not to worry about.
Good Luck!
I don't know who told you it'd be the worst...seems like a cruel thing to say to you!
It's just the same as all the others. I think mine had to stand on one foot for five seconds and jump around on one foot, or something. Draw a square and a circle (which was so ridiculous...I mean, she could write, draw complex pictures, etc...but I understand why they do it, I guess.) Vision check unless your child is already wearing glasses...hearing screening, maybe...same stuff as always, I guess.
And my daughter has NEVER had to pee in a cup for a well child visit!
No not at all.
It is like any other well-child check up.
May also get a hearing and vision test.
And vaccinations or boosters, per your child.
That is all.
None of my kids had a bad 4 year old check up.
Same old well visit check up your little one as had for her previous ones with a hearing test and an eye chart. My 4 year old id not have shots because he is up to date and they don't need the next set until kindergarten so for us it was quick and painless.
same as all the other check ups.. weigh and measure pee in the cup.. blood pressure.. shots if they are due...
it was just like all the others for my kids. when they turn 5 they have to get a urine sample. but 4, is check height, weight, BP?, and shots, if they have any left. i made sure i got the rest of my kids shots so that they wouldn't have to get any more until they are going into middle school.
if shes up to date on shots she wont even get shots.... they do hearing and eye screening but that doesnt seem too bad to most kids...
Well, if your child hates shots, it is a bad experience. They had to give my daughter 4 shots. They didn't have the combo shots, so she had to endure 4 separate shots. So yes it was bad for us. One good thing is she doesn't need any more vaccines until she is 11. That works for me!!!
