I think 10 is fine...I saw when it came out in 1973 and was 10 (or maybe not even quite 10 yet) myself...Loved the music.
Enjoy!
Our local theater will be performing Godspell, and I'm thinking of taking my 10 year old. I like to expose him to the arts when I can. We seen several plays and musicals together. So far, so good. I haven't see Godspell in years, and I don't think I saw it until I was an adult. I'm just wondering if it would keep his attention. I think it would. What do you think? Is a 10 year old too young to enjoy Godspell?

A teen youth group with 10-18 year olds put it on here.
10 is a great age for Godspell. We actually performed this play at camp one year when I went to that kind of camp. It's a very moving play.
Have fun.
A 10 year old is definitely old enough to enjoy musical theatre. I've been taking my now-10 year old for a few years.
My almost 9 year old son and I are just about to start year 3 of season tickets to the local Broadway musical productions. It has been a great bonding experience and he is always asking when our next show will be! I chose not to take him to Book of Mormon for content and If/Then and Bridges of Madison County because I thought he would be bored. He loved Pippin and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream coat, which are kind of along the same lines as Gospel, so I would definitely take my kiddo. Have fun!!
I started taking my kids to live musicals/plays when they were four or five years old. They were always entranced and most of the adult themes went over their heads. Go and enjoy!
I made my kids go to theater and art shows and museums, whether they thought they liked it or not. It's important to expose kids to art in all forms. Theater is great for kids. I don't see how a 10 year old would not enjoy Godspell. Haven't seen it for years but I certainly would take a 10 year old to see it.
Even if he doesn't get the story, the music and choreography will keep him interested.
