I am 35 weeks pregnant and for the past few days I have been having this weird thing go on with my ears. Its like one won't pop and one is more sensitive to sound. I have tried cleaning my ears twice with the ear cleaning solutions you get at the store, I have tried popping them, nothing is working and it's starting to get on my nerves. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I will be sure to ask my doctor about it. My doctors already told me I could take benadryl and I am sure I have a sinus infection since i always do. I have a chronic sinus infection that never goes away. lol Thank you all for your advice. :)

sounds like a sinus thing. Ask you doc what you can take to clear them. A nasal saline solution might help.

Hi A.,

The health store has an "ear candle" that will get any fluid out and get some warmth down in there that will probably help. We use them often when we have an issue. Ask the clerk exactly how to use it and buy a couple just in case you don't do it right the first time or you need to do it twice because the issue takes two. Benadryl will just help with the symptoms. You need something that will get rid of the problem.

You might just have a little cold and/or maybe some fluid in the years. I would have the doc take a look for infection and if its just allergies or something ask if you can take a Benadryl for a decongestant--it is usually considered safe during pregnancy. Best of luck =)

Benadryl is an antihistimine not a decongestant.
