Weight Watchers is a wonderful plan and at the beginning it is not unusual to lose 4-5# the first week. Drink water!!!!
Hello everyone. I wanted to get an opinion on weight loss supplements. I am NOT extremely overweight. I have been working out 3 times a week (cardio and strength training) at my local gym. The problem is that I am going to the Dominican Republic the 2nd week in November and want to shed a few pound past. My goal is to take off 8-9 lbs. Anyone know of a good supplement to buy? I did not just want to randomly pick one out.

Good luck!!
Forget the supplements, walk a minimum of 30 minutes a day or go to the gym minimum 5 days a week until your trip. Have yogurt and fruit, a slice of toast and fruit, or oatmeal and fruit for breakfast. Snack on celery and carrots during the day. Have a green salad with fruit or boiled eggs for lunch, and all the meat and vegetables you want for dinner - no rice, no potatoes, no starchy veggies. You'll lose that weight in no time without supplements.
Hope that helps!
Flax seed, wheat germ, bee pollen, fruit, vegetables, less meat.
Hi, S.!
I have been using the Vitamin B12 (and B6) injections. I think you can get these from most doctors' offices. If you don't have one, I would recommend Dr. Ralph Martin in Acworth. It's a little pricy to get started, but he also gives a fat-burning hormone in the shot. That shot with both vitamins is $18.00 per shot. Also, you can try to really bulk up on your proteins and shy away from the carbs a good bit. This has helped me. (And Dr. Martin's patients typically see about a 3-5 pounds-per-week weight loss result.) Good luck to you and bon voyage!
Hi, I am also trying to only lose a few pounds. I try to eat healthy and exercise. It has been working. I heard that supplement don't work. It is also something else extra to remember to do during the day. I eat lots of fruit and veggies and stick to portion sizes. Today people eat 2 or 3 extra portions each meal. I have 2 kids and they have the little character plate. While my dh gets an adult plate, Me and the two kids eat from child plates. It helps me stick to portions and it looks like I have a full plate. I eat lots of salad as well. I try to work out every day but some days you just can't so I think the housework is a good workout depending on what you are doing. Good Luck and don't give up.
Hi S.,
Yes! I have a great weight loss supplement and other weight loss products including protein shakes, chews, and an awesome energy drink that helped me lose those last few pounds after having a baby. The protein shakes are low carb, high protein and they use pea protein NO soy or dairy and no additives or artificial sweeteners. The line increases metabolism, energy and helps with weight loss. Give me a call and I can help recommend the best product for your goal. My company gives 45 day money back because they guarantee results.
It will have you looking fabulous for your trip!

Hi S.,
I say this often, nutrition is the key to any weight loss. If you are only a few pounds over weight and you are working out regularly the weight will probably not come off any faster with a simple supplement. If it does, then it will probably come right back to visit you later. My husband and I use a multivitamin that has helped us lose weight (my husband has lost a lot)and kept it off.
I do know that the absorption area of the body is the small intestines and that's where the nutrition is absorbed. But because of the chemicals in our foods today (pesticides, preservatives, antibiotics, hormones, etc.)we get a lot of clogs in that area of the body. If you don't "go" after EVERY meal you are retaining waste and that is causing the weight to stay put. I know a good Fiber product (it is food and works as a cleanse) that works wonders if you're interested. Just let me know!
Regards,
M.
Hi S.,
The product to give you that initial boost of weight loss is called THERMACHROME! And it also continues to work along with adding the energy you need, without hazardous side effects of a racing heart. For more details, just give me a call. You will be very pleased with the results. A pound a day is not uncommon even after water loss. God bless!

My father in law has gone to the Dominican several times doing mission work! Not sure what your reason is for going but if you will be doing the mission work in the rural parts, don't worry about those few pounds! My father in law always comes back ten to fifteen pounds lighter!
Try south beach for 2 weeks and you'll be surprised that you can lose 10-12 in 2 weeks.
I am working on my Masters degree in Nutrition.
Except for the person that recommended a product that started with an Ex (or an x), I agree with the folks here that are saying to focus on your nutrition along with daily working out.
In addition, to lose the weight fastest, make sure that all fruit you eat is fresh fruit only with nothing added and stick with the less sweet fruits such as berries (any kind, but not grapes). Also, if you choose to go with yogurt, get the kind that is organic with no sugar added.
Also, I agree with the mom who said that you need to be sure you are eliminating every day. Please do not take a supplement for this because consuming fresh fruit and veggies every day will be enough to make you go more than once a day.
If you are going to take anything, I would suggest that you go to The Herb Shop...they have a store in most neighborhoods...and speak with the staff so they can evaluate you and see what your individual needs may be. There is no cookie cutter recipe that will work for everyone.
If you live near Fayetteville, GA, Pat Sparks is the owner of The Herb Shop there, and she's a Naturopathic Doctor. She is excellent at what she does and is a great person, too. I go to her for advice all of the time, and since I am uninsured, I also check the info out in my books and online to be sure that I am on the right track before I do things. If you have a doctor, make sure you ask them for help...if they are clueless, then find a new doctor (smile).
Mummy magic weight loss tea was my best companion when I was trying to lose my post pregnancy weight. I am now back to my pre-pregnancy weight and body shape.
