Weening Baby off the Bottle

I have an energetic 19 month old girl. I am still giving her one bottle a day
which I pump several times a day in order to fill one bottle. I am drying up,
and losing patience. What can I do to ensure that my daughter is receiving the
neccesary nutrients daily, without the bottle. Do you recommend vitamins at her age?

After my son was over a year old and is on solids and cow milk and soy bottles/sippees, I added a whole food vitamin source supplement to my son's diet, it was recommended by a good friend who did the same. He has been taking Body Balance almost daily since. He had baby eczema that was worse in the summer, but I noticed that when we forgot to take the Body Balance every day that his eczema would flare up and when he took it the rash would look better in a couple days. wow... You are worried you are drying up with a 19 month old?!!

We started introducing our little girl to normal foods when she turned 6 months. We have a small food processor which I use to puree her meals in, and now, at 12 months, she is a very healthy eater and just a healthy girl in general.

This is my second child; I didn't produce much milk with the first one (who is now 12 yo, a principal scholar who had never had any illnesses outside of a common cold and rarely a flu). My 12 month old, whom my body didn't produce milk with at all, has yet to be sick (knock on wood).

So, having said that, in 19 months your child was very lucky to benefit from your source, and at this time I would recommend you provide her with natural vitamins which your child can obtain through organic fruits and vegetables, healthy chicken vegetable soups, natural yogurt, and so forth.

You may give her freshly squeezed juices, whether it's carrots or oranges, or rasberries, or apples. You may steam some veggies and puree them in a food processor.

We give our baby pretty much everything we eat ourselves (no fish); the only sacrifice we had to make was to not spice up our food during the cooking process (things like salt, pepper and other spices). You may make something tasty by using various herbs (which in return are also a good source of nutrients).

I would suggest foods for nutrition and water for hydration.

look at the food over the course of a week rather than a meal at a time for nutrition.

if she is eating a balanced diet,well as balanced as you can make it I would wean her off the bottle completely,as to vitamins I would ask your pediatrician for advise

congratulate yourself for lasting 19 months. There are multivitamin drops and also vitamin a,c, d drops. You should talk to your pediatrician about what he/she recommends. My little one gets the vitamin a,c, d drops. There is also a formula for toddlers that is enriched. It is more expensive than milk and you might be fine with milk and some multivitamins.
