Camping? I loved Sulphur Oklahoma as a child. Especially in the summer when you can play in the water. Water is strong though for little ones.
We are looking for some inexpensive family fun weekend get-a-ways. We have 3 girls 10, 6 and 4. Any suggestions???

I just responded to another post about DeGray Lake State Park in Arkansas. We went last summer and had a blast. You can camp or stay at the lodge. The lodge was decent - nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. We rode bicycles, rode horses, fished, had picnics, etc. Very laid back and extremely reasonably priced, and only about a 4 hour drive. My kids were 2 and 8 at the time, and there was plenty to do for both of them.
I have not been yet but Great wolf lodge is said to be fun... also east texas has a Railroad you can ride the texas state railroad old steam and diesal engines and fun for the whole day.

Turner Falls in Davis, OK is beautiful! It even has a waterfall swimming hole. I think it took us less than 2 hours to get there. It is not far past the OK border.
