K.K.
farms and outdoor places would be good and less expensive. My friend was married at Camrose Hill Farm (http://camrosehillflowers.com/farm.html) and was allowed to bring in her own food and alcohol. It was beautiful. It is a flower farm.
My daughter is getting married in August 09 and we are looking for a reception place. We want to find a place we can bring our own food in. I do lots of Event planning and cooking for groups myself. We will invite about 250-300 people. We want the reception to be indoors and air conditioned.
We won't be serving alcohol. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Our church requires us to use their caterer.

Hello
I rented the American Legion Hall for my reception. I loved that it had a kitchen. Try Union Halls they do charge a rental fee. I too was a tight budget.
Try Parks also, I know I checked into the Como Park Pavilion. Beautiful setting with kitchen. You can get these listing from Park and rec. Dept.
Just some ideas - Been there done that.

Not sure where you live but if you are in the north metro area the coon rapids community center has a really nice place. You can bring our own food.
