Wedding Outfit for 11 Month Old

Children's place sells the cutest ties for little boys. I bought one for my son and he looked adorable!! I would suggest since it's a formal event do slacks, a button down, and a tie. You really don't need a suit...he'll never wear it again by the time he grows out of it. They also send out tons of coupons so look for one of those before you shop! Macy's and Norstrom also have cute looks, as well as Baby Gap (one of my faves!) but the ties at Children's Place were the cutest and cheapest I found for little guys.

I don't think anyone will expect to see him in a suit, but you could go to a nicer department store (Macy's or similar) and see what they have. We went to a wedding with my son around the same age and he wore khakis, button down, sweater vest and little deck shoes. It was a summer wedding in CT, so it worked!

I bought 2 suits for my 1 year old on ebay for around $5.00 each. If you have the time check it out. He was so stinkin cute in his linen suit he wore the other one several times. If not, I think cordoroy or slack type pants and a button up shirt is fine.

Despite being a formal event, I don't think anyone would expect you him to be in formal attire. As cute as the outfits are, they're really hard for kids to wear, especially those who may be crawling. I'd think the less comfortable he is, the more likely he is to be completely cranky.

I'd think that a button down shirt and a pair of khakis would be appropriate for a child his age. You can get ties for kids that age at Children's place, Macy's etc.

Pending your budget, I'd not go out of my way.....unless you're excited about the photos and don't mind dropping the money on something he'll likely wear only once.

a suit set for babies -- they're ADORABLE. i had my 12 month old wear one for his 1st bday party (which is formal in my culture) and he was so cute i wanted to eat him. :) we got ours at macys b/c for some reason had the hardest time finding them anywhere else! maybe cuz its hte summer??

My son was 6 months old at my brother's wedding. He wore a little suit with a vest from Burlington Coat Factory. It wasn't super expensive, and was very cute. A friend's son was a little older and he wore a little tux (not rented or anything, just off the rack).

this is probably way overboardbut my son wore a little tux to my sisters weddig when he was 9 months old and it was sssoooo cute! we got it at burlington for around $20. (he wore it a few other times also) but they also have suits and little slacks with vest and tie sets too that aren't so formal! (they have great prices!)

An infant isn't required to confirm to formal etiquette. Some stores have cute "suits" with shorts - you often see them at Easter time. It's also fine to do khaki's with a little polo shirt or short sleeve button down. I wouldn't go overboard or dress the baby in something that he will be uncomfortable in.

My oldest was 9 weeks old when one of my best friends got married. I went to Burlington Baby and got him an ADORABLE infant tux...it was a white shirt and dark red velvety vest and pants. I still have that outfit almost a total of 4 boys later. :)

I don't understand why everyone is saying, "I don't think they would expect..".....of course he is expected to be dressed...it's a wedding...if he's not going to be dressed then he shouldn't be there. I'm not saying you can't put him in pj's at the end of the night but the same way the other guests are dressed so should your son.....ok now I am done ranting so back to your question.

At 6 months I had my son in an infant tuxedo...so adorable....JC Penny sells small suits and not expensive...they also sell those sets that have the dress pants, shirt, tie and vest which are cute....If he's not in the wedding the tux may be a bit much....so something with a shirt and tie should be fine. I would put him in a mini tuxedo. You would be so amazed by how cute they look.

You might want to check with your brother in law and his fiancee to see what they expect.... have they said that they want your son to be dressed up to be in photos?
I would say buy something cheap because he will outgrow it in no time (unless you're lucky enough to squeeze him into it again for Thanksgiving). You can get a shirt & tie set pretty cheap at Burlington (seems to be popular with other moms), Target or JC Penney. Then just put him in khakis.
I know not everyone feels comfortable buying from a thrift shop, but you could get something super cheap there, and it was probably worn only once or twice. My grandmother bought a cute suit at a thrift shop when my son was born.... and ironically enough he wore it to her funeral a few months later..... Sorry - didn't mean to bring the mood down. But anyway, a thrift shop might be a good place to start looking. Good luck!

I have seen "faux" tuxes" for little ones. The are like a onsie with pants. Being in July it will probably be hot so take that into account when choosing.

At walmart they had the cutest little suit sets for babys and toddlers.
