Wedding Outfit

I had to be a bridesmaid when my son was 6 months old and was worried about how that would work - strapless longline bra, spaghetti-strap dress, and all. I had a bottle for him, and I think I only nursed him twice during the reception. I had to leave and go to my room to do that, though. He was already starting to eat Cheerios and baby foods at that point, and wasn't nursing as often.

I'd look into a skirt and top combo - perhaps with the top in a stretchy/non-wrinkle fabric. A jacket over the top will give you extra cover.

I've never had luck finding a decent nursing dress that didn't look dowdy, or very obvious (HI I'M NURSING AND HERE ARE THE FLAPS) or both.

How about a pretty blouse with buttons? You could also try a nursing dress or top from a maternity store or specialty catalog.

I was desperatly looking for something as well when my 5mo old was getting baptised. I couldn't find anything in maternity so I went with a basic wrap dress. It worked perfectly.

I had the same problem when my oldest was 5 months. I ended up finding a really cute top and skirt at Ann Taylor on clearance (it was a fall wedding, so summer stuff was on sale). It was a rayon type material, and pretty forgiving to cover my ugly nursing bra. :) March might be a harder time to find stuff on sale, but it will still be cool, so maybe if you started shopping clearance stuff now you would have better luck.

Do remember that March is 3 months away, and your body will continue to adjust as your baby grows and eats at more regular intervals. You may be starting solids by then, and that will affect his milk intake a bit. It could also let you stretch out feedings a bit if it is not convenient for you to leave to feed him.

There are companies that make nursing-friendly clothing for moms. Motherwear is a good source and they have a nice website. They sell many dresses that may work for your situation to make the day go smoothly. Good Luck!

Hi there. I would recommend a skirt and top. I went to a wedding when my little one was three months old. I found a skirt, and top outfit that also had a jacket included. This was very nice because I would kinda cover up with the jacket while nursing. The other thing that you might want to try is motherwear.com. They specialize in nursing wear and have nice tops and dresses for nursing. I have a couple of rather classy outfits that I can nurse with.

Try a wrap dress with a V-neck. I had the same problem at an October Wedding and that's what I wore. Worked perfectly. I got my on Sale at Kohl's.
