Hi, mamas! My son is almost 11 months old, and thus it is time to wean him from the bottle. He currently only takes three bottles a day. Morning, afternoon, and one at bedtime. He's not too attached to the morning/afternoon bottles, but he does really, really love his bedtime bottle.
He uses a sippy cup with meals and does great with it. I just do not know how to go about phasing out the bottle....any suggestions? Thanks!

For my kids, once they turned 12 months old, I had them take them and throw them in the trash. No weaning needed. They did it themselves and so they knew and understood what was happening. We never looked back!
I spoke with our daughter about how "when you turn 1 you do not use bottles anymore. Instead you "get " to use your sippy cup all of the time!"
The night before her birthday I threw all of the bottle stuff away. The next day, I asked our daughter for each meal, "which sippy cup do you want to use this time?" She never looked back..
I still rocked and "gave" my kids a sippy before bed until they adjusted, never had any trouble. We're going sippy shopping for my youngest (8 months) tonight, fun times!
Drop the daytime bottles first...... instead of offering the morning and afternoon bottles, just give a sippy cup with meals. If the bottle is at a different time than meals, just give a sippy cup during the day.
I would drop one for a few days, then drop the other daytime bottle.
When that is solid, drop the bedtime bottle..... offer plenty of cuddles, and other soothing ways for bedtime, and just drop it. He may cry a few nights, but it will soon be over.
