Waterproof Pads

I bought some waterproof lap/ changing pads in the "especially for baby" brand and the "circo" brand from Target. After 1 washing both are heavily piled and shaggy looking. I am looking for something to use over a changing table so I don't get the cute changing pad dirty... also something to use for travel that is soft. Is there a better brand? Am I missing something? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I ended up buying the Gerber brand waterproof cotton flannel bassinet size pads from babies r us. I have washed them once and they look much better than the others do, so I think it is a better choice. Thanks!

I just took the changing pad cover off and use the vinyl covered pad instead. It is easy to wipe down and clean, since the other ones were always getting dirty.

I had those too... they got pretty bad fast. My mom gave me something she bought (she thinks at WalMart) called a Bassinet Pad or Liner and it is a thick material (not plastic backed, although if you just want to cover the changing pad it should be fine) I use it in the diaper bag for public changings... it folds easily and I can wash it whenever. If you don't find it at WalMart I'm sure Babies R Us will have it. Just be sure you get the bassinet one (it's long and rectangular) and not the crib ones which are small and square.

Good luck!

JC penny has waterproof pads that are really soft and nice. I have washed them several times and I have had no piling or shagging. They are actually waterprrof burp cloths but they are bigger than your average burp cloth so you could use them as a changing pad. HTH!

I believe it was Kid Konnection from walmart. They have waterproof pads for the crib, bassenet and lap. I used the ones for the crib and folded them in half for the changing table and it fits great.
