Are there any nice water playgrounds or water parks (not Adventure Island kind) that are open to the public. I am in the Town 'n Country area (west of the airport) and heard there might be a great water playground for my 7y.o. son in my area. He loves the water parks and slides, etc., but I am looking for something local that is not too expensive. Thank you!

There is also a pool area in Clearwater, just south of 60/Gulf to Bay called the Morningside Pool. It is run by the City of Clearwater but all are welcome. It is $6 per adult and $4 per child. They have a pool that is 2 and 3 feet deep as well as a wading pool with some small slides and sprinklers. You can check them out on the city's website. I go there with my mom's group and the kids love it and they range in age from 6 months to 4 years.

Hi S., there is a great water playground in Oldsmar called Splash Park. If u go onto the Oldsmar City webpage and click onto Parks & Recreation its one of the first parks listed, its off of Forest Lakes Blvd & Pine, their website provides a picture, phone number, address & directions. There are no slides or "water" rides, its a "wet playground" prob best way to describe it. Also, most of the local YMCA's (our is the Palm Harbor YMCA) have water slides and entire separate "family" pool dedicated to kids water play all manned by lifeguards. The YMCA fees are really resonable per month and they also have "scholarship" programs where you can qualify for reduced or free membership. HAVE FUN! One thing about the free/public water park in Oldsmar is that it closes down entirely "dry" for the months of NOV DEC JAN FEB MAR. But its open now and alot of fun for the kids. Also, has shaded picnic bench areas.

I joing the rec center in temple terrace and they have a kiddie pool and a splask area, just like the parks but much quieter! See what you have locally like that and maybe they'll be just as nice. If you're not a member of mine you pay $5 to get in. Very inexpensive.

There is the "sprayground" in oldsmar. I can't remember where it's located. It's free but it does get crowded.
