I am at my whit's end with my three year old. The last couple of weeks she has started getting up from her nap about 3 times to go to the bathroom and she also goes about 3 times after we put her down. She knows there are conseqences for getting out of bed but she keeps doing it! she also seems to be going a bit more frequently durning the day (I haven't really kept track but will start tomorrow timing it) She also has complained a bit about her tummy hurting, but momma's been complaining about MY tummy hurting a lot too (we are pregnant with number 3 and haven't told her yet) I just want to know if it could be a bladder infection or something I have never had experiences with them so I have no idea. thanks !

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

it's amazing how threating her with no tv for two weeks gets a 3 year old to be honest. I did schedule her for a dr appointment but decided to wait a day. This morning we kept track of every time she went, and she went normally. The tip that got to me was the the times it was the "worst" (really the only time she was going all the time was before her naps and at bedtime) Also talked to someone about what a bladder infection or UTI feels like and my daughter only said yes when I asked her if she had pain, never once bringing it up herself. Thanks ladies

Go to the doctor! None of us will know if its a urine infection. You know what it feels like and if that's what your momma instinct is telling you then why are you waiting for people on here to reassure you of whats going on? Go be a momma and fix the problem. You've been through an infection probably before it feels liek hell. The sooner it gets solved the better your daughter will feel.

I would take her to the doctor as soon as possible and have her tested. UTIs are nothing to mess with. If she has frequent urination and is experiencing pain, those are two signs of a UTI. They really do make you uncomfortable and if left untreated it can go to her kidneys.

Sounds like it could be a uti...better get her to a Pediatrician. Better safe than sorry.

Have her blood sugar tested. It might not be but tummy aches and increased urination are both signs for type one diabetes. Hopefully she is just being a kid but better safe than sorry.

I would definately get her checked. I have two little girls and have battled UTI's with them both. One of which didn't respond to medication the first time and wound up causing a kidney infection that had us in the hospital for a week!!! It's super easy for a doctor to check her urine. It will give you peace of mind
