Not too many places. LOL! Taking a 2 year old can and will probably be very exhausting. How about the beach in Florida? Maybe you can scope out some zoos, aquariums, and museums.
We have the unusual opportunity to take a 3 or 4 day vacation in early March. My son just turned 2, and it would be him, my husband, and I. We live in Chicago and would like to go someplace warmer (doesn't necessarily need to be hot, just warm), no further than about a 3-4 hour flight. I don't think we want to tackle Disney either. Bonus points if we can get a good deal on a flight or hotel! Where would you go with a 2 year old? I could use some inspiration!

If it were me, I would get a place on a beach somewhere and not make too ambitious of plans. I would get a place that has a kitchen and a separate bedroom (so that you can put him to bed and still spend time with your husband later). At his age he (and you) would probably have the most fun just playing in the sand, swimming, etc. Good luck and have fun!

Sanibel, Florida...unless if it's spring break time (I've heard it's really crowded during that time).
The easiest vacation would be to take him to the beach. Southern Florida should have nice weather. Stay at a hotel right on the beach. He will spend hours playing in the sand and water. Very low key and easy! Check Southwest for cheaper fairs.
We took our daughter at age 2 to the beach in Florida. Kept it simple. Bought sand toys there and left them. They weren't expensive really. We had a car and a place with a kitchen. We also had a place that offered a pool so we could swim. My daughter didn't like the waves so swimming in the pool was fun for her. We had a 1 BR condo so we all shared a bedroom but it had a door so we could put her down and still watch tv etc until we went to bed. If you want specifics PM me and I can get them to you.
I live in Chicago and am from San Antonio originally. Would definitely recommend San Antonio. Great food, Riverwalk, and most importantly Sea World. But make sure to check it is open the days you want to go. Early March is iffy. Flight is only 2:45 and there seems to be some decent deals in March.
