Hi everyone,
We are travelling to Walt Disney World at the end of October and I have never been, therefore looking for any suggestions on restaurants to eat at while we're down there. We can book dining 180 days in advance and that is actually coming up next week so I want to make sure to make those early.
We are planning to go to all 4 parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom & Hollywood Studios.
Thanks again for any help you can provide!

I can't think of the name of it, but at Epcot there is one that revolves and the walls are a large fish aquarium, pretty much eating under the sea. I haven't been there in a long time, but it was of my favorites to revolve (very slowly) and see all the fish while eating.

7 days of eating out 3 meals a day is a challenge! We simply cannot do 3 sit down meals each day. Since character encounters aren't a priority for my kids, my family always does breakfast in our hotel room, cereal, muffins, etc. so we can get to the parks early. We always do a quick-serve lunch at the parks. Most quick serve lunch spots in the parks are pretty good, even with the limited choices. The only quick service lunch I DO NOT recommend in Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom. It was awful. For dinners, I recommend Boma (African buffet at Animal Kingdom Lodge), simply outstanding! Also, Sanaa, at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village is wonderful, great view, and great Indian inspired food. Jiko, at AKL (can you tell where we stayed?) was too fancy and expensive, even for my adventerous 10 year old. Their menu must change often because it was not the same menu as I found on allears.net. Even though it was DH's birthday, Jiko was not worth it for my family. (kids ages 8 and 10). In Epcot, we love the San Angel Inn (Mexican restaurant), been there many times. Great food, and can't beat the atmosphere! Oh, we also ate lunch at T-Rex in Downtown Disney on our departure day. Very cool, kids loved it!

character meals are the way to go to see characters. Don't stand in lines waiting-go to the meals and the characters come to you. They sign autographs and pose for pictures and you get to eat while you wait. They will visit each table.

If you have a little girl (s), I would recommend Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom castle. Be warned, it is pricey and you have to pay in advance, but for little girls, its quite the experience-very princess-y & fantasy like. 1900 Park Fare is a less expensive alternative, but I think that's only Cinderella & her crew while the Castle is Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Ariel and Sleeping Beauty.

Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary was alot of fun as well and featured Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. No park admission or pre-payment required but I would book in advance. I would also suggest buying (or bringing) a chef hat (they are avalable in the hotel gift shop) for the characters to sign. They will sign both the hat & an autograph book and it's a really cute momento.

For non-character meals, there's a Moroccan place in Epcot that I can't remember the name of but the food was awesome!

We love the Sci-Fi Diner in MGM. We go every visit.
Also loved the Crystal Room character visit at MK and Chef Mickey dinner at the Contemporary. Not sure what ages your kids are but mine loved these when they were 9 and 5 and again at 13 and 9.
The Coral Reef in Epcot is great, you can watch all the fish in the aquarium.

As far as rating these places, the food is very good, but the experience is even better!

Chef MIckey's for breakfast, great character sitings
and Le Celier in Canada, great steakhouse and if you are on the mealplan its a good bang for you buck!

These are 2 of the most popular along with Cinderella's Royal table and Crystal Palace DInner (winnie the pooh)

The California Grill books quick at firework time at the MK since you can see them and hear the music in the restaurant!

YOu can book for a restaurant at HS for priority seating at the show Fastasmic.

I have been to disney A LOT, so if you have a questions message me!
Overbook your reservations (different names if you have to) then you can always cancel. Also, check out the park closing times to figure out where you may be (extra magic hours etc...)

check out disboards.com for GREAT info!!
Have fun!!

The Land in Epcot has a revolving restaurant that looks over one of their rides. The food was FABULOUS and they have a character dinner!

Tony's in the Magic Kingdom was excellent as was the 1950s dinner in MGM.

HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME!

Definitly get a table at Cinderella's Royal Table if you can this place is usually booked well in advance. If the kids are older and can stay up late you can get the last seating of the night and watch the fireworks from the restaurant. I also suggest Tony's Restaurant at Magic Kingdom. Great italian food and good menu for kids. At Epcot if you like Mexican try La Cantina De San Angel really good. Actually anywhere would be great. I have visited WDW several times and I don't think I have ever had a bad meal.

If you have children I would suggest doing a couple character meals. We took our daughters last October and did 2 character meals. We did Chef Mickey's which is in the Contemporary Hotel and we did the Princess Breakfast which is in Epcot. When we took our oldest daughter 5 years ago we had dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table and breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Pooh, Tigger and friends. Check out Disney's vacation website to investigate all the restaurants prior to booking your meals. You can see what places have different types of cuisine, etc. Then when you call for your reservations you'll have an idea of the restaurants you want to try to get into. Have fun!
