I read your other rant, everyone here is giving you very reasonable responses. They are all just as equally concerned as you are and trying to give advice. That's how it works here. Calling people extremely degrading names and cussing them out (which got deleted, thank goodness) due to the answers you received here is a serious lack of good judgment and class on your part.

Like one mom suggested, definitely have a carbon monoxide detector in your home. You can get a baby gate to build up around the heating unit so that your child won't get burnt. Or you can get it replaced by something safer, or possibly a covering, go to your local home builder store like lowe's or home depot to see if they have any solutions.

I think the answers people are giving you are far from negative! Those types of heaters are not used anymore. I'd have it replaced or look into ways of safely covering it or blocking it. You don't want her learning by burning herself! It is a bit hard for some people to read posts with so many abbreviations, there is no word limit on posts so you don't need to do so, just some friendly advice if you want your questions taken seriously, I've been using this site forever! Please don't take peoples reactions to your post so personally, if you don't want people to report you and have your posts removed for offensiveness. We are all trying to help and apologize if no one is telling you what you want to hear.

Those things are dangerous and not allowed in inspected homes. If you can't help but use it, make sure that you have a carbon monoxide detector and you keep baby AWAY from it! We grew up with them and cannot tell you how many burns we got from them.

Why not go to your local home improvement store and ask if they sell guards for wall heaters? Be proactive rather than reactive.

ETA: I find abbreviations and "text lingo" often used on this site to be confusing and when your question is hard to understand, expect to hear a few disparaging remarks based on the interpretation! Be clear so we know what you're asking. I don't see ANY responses that warranted your last (yanked) post!

I had a baby play yard (it's a kind of gate) around my wood burning stove so my daughter wouldn't be able to get near it. It was 2+ft away from the stove, so we could still use it without the plastic melting, but still kept our daughter safe.

T.,
If you don't have the money to buy a cover for your radiator you can subscribe to www.freecycle.org, people are always giving stuff away and you can post a wanted for a cover. Or like others have suggested get a gate to cover the heater.

If you can, try to put a baby gate or some other fencing around it.
