Could be. Is she getting her foot stuck? My son would get stuck, so I still have bumpers in my son's crib and he is 26 months. She could also be teething or having a bad dream.
My 13 month old is now waking once a night screaming until I go and comfort her. I just took out the bummper pads in her crib... could this be the reason???

Hi T. :)
I had the same problem with my oldest at that same age. I would jump out of bed when I heard him screaming and then every night after that a pattern started to grow where he would scream until I or my husband went in there. Most of the time he would fall asleep on one of us and right when we layed him down he would start to scream again. Well, after nights and hours of this it got pretty exhausting, so we started to let him scream it out for a couple of nights.Yes, it was VERY difficult, but he was changed and fed etc. It was the best thing we could have done. Now he sleeps 11-13 hours a night and no peep from him :)
T.,
I wouldn't think taking out the bumper pads is the reason. However, I would recommend the book "Sleeping thru the Night" by Jodi Mindell. It was the only sleep book that made sense and worked for us and I read 7 others before this book.

My son is 13 months old. A few weeks ago I took the bumper pads out of the crib to change his sheets. I decided not to put them back in because they're such a pain and I figured he probably no longer needed them. After that I noticed that he would wake up every few hours crying. When I went in there he wasn't fully awake, but he would be up against the side of the crib or his pacifier would be out on the floor where he couldn't reach it. It may sound crazy to some, but I really started to wonder if it had something to do with the bumper pads not being there because that was the only thing that had changed. I put them back in and he's been fine ever since! Now he doesn't roll into the bars on the crib and the pacifier doesn't slip out onto the floor. It can't hurt to put them back in and see if it helps.
