Night Terrors?
Look it up online.
So I have 1 yr 10 month old son. I put him to sleep at 8 or a little after everynight. He wakes up between 230 and 6:00am every morning screaming at the door with his blanket and cup. His door is open (have a baby gate at it tho) and have the small light in kitchen for him as nightlight. I was keeping his gate open so he could come get us in morning until all this startied. Our door is not completely open but open enough that if he cries I can hear him. Most the time he is freaking out and wont let me touch him. Cant pick him to calm him down or anything. It gets frustrating. the only way he stops is if he knows im going to bring him into my room. But if I didn't give in he would cry forever. He has amazing lungs aand never wears out it seems. Now he is almost 2 and has pretty much never really slept with me. He would once in a while before but for the past month its been chaos. My husband got back from deployment in august and this started not too long after. Any advice?
Have been putting him to bed later past couple of nights. He slept til 645 this morning but was up. He doesnt nap. so hes up from 645 am til about 9pm. Hes not potty trained yet either so waking him up to bring him to bathroom i dont think would help but im not sure..?

Is his door shut? Is your door shut? That is my first suggestion. If you shut his bedroom door, I really don't agree with that. Being scared and having no way out, is terrifying for a child. (I can't tell if that's what you mean by "screaming at the door.") If his door is shut, put a gate in your doorway. If your door is shut and he screams at your door, put a gate in your doorway. My husband and I do this. If we are talking, have the lights on, need privacy...we keep the door shut until that time has passed, then put the baby gate up. My son is much less scared, when he can see.
Aside from that, I totally agree with Katrina. Check out that link. My son went through the same thing.

He could be having night terrors. They appear to be awake but they actually aren't. 2 of my kids had them, my third looks like she might be getting them too.

Yeah, it does sound like night terrors! Maybe ask his ped about it?
My 17 month old started doing the EXACT same thing!! I get him up and nurse him and put him back to bed. He screams and lay him down and walk out of the rooms. I'm still in the thick of things but with my others, this has helped and they stopped quickly. I hope yours does too!! Thank you so much for your service to our country!! We appreciate you!!! Below is a song my teenage daughter wrote for military wives. I hope it's a blessing to you!!
