Wait It Out??

I recently posted a question regarding my guilt for proceeding with receiving child support for my son.Since then, the guilt is over. I've come to terms with the situation( with help from you ladies). The court told me that as soon as they found the new address for the "dead beat", they would contact him and the procedure will begin. Well, while doin my own detective work, I have since found the address and phone to where he is residing. So my question is, should I voluntarily give this information to the court system myself, or just wait it out? For those of you that have been through the child supoort proceedings, you know that this can take a VERY long time. So, what should I do ladies? Help me out.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanx ladies. Like I said once before, we all know the answers to our own questions, we just look to others for conformation.

Hand it over! Don't delay! He doesn't deserve any favors for trying to skip out on his responsibilities.

Forget about how you feel about this, guilty or whatever. This money is for your son! Give the court the info you have tomorrow morning and get the ball rolling. Your son has two parents and there is no reason his father can't be held accountable for his support too. You should never feel guilty or bad about doing this, as it is completely the way it should be. No reason to wait either, since you have the info you can get it going sooner than waiting for some entity to find him.

If you haven't handed over the information to the court yet, then do it NOW. And never, ever should you feel an ounce of guilt for fighting to get child support that would help raise your child.

turn it in.... dead beats get away with it because they think they will . I turn in my ex information every chance I get. If he is going to hide, not be a part of the childs life then poo on him.

Yes, give the court system the information. You will get your support sooner, and the court can move on to help someone else.

Way to good...good for you!

Give them the information IMMEDIATELY. This will cut down your wait time. Child support hearings don't take that long...custody ones seem like they take forever.

Give them the information.
Don't hesitate.
They don't have the manpower to track parents and they can't collect from who they can't find. If you want support, tell them what you know.
Or.....keep waiting and waiting and waiting to even get an order let alone a check.
Why do the "detective" work and then keep it to yourself?
Trust me, they rely on any tips they can get and even then it can be tough to get them to work on it.
If you have information, help them help your child by telling them what you know.

Best wishes.

Give the info yourself, right away. The wheels of justice (& government) grind exceedingly slow! So, do it tomorrow!

I think you should totally give the address to court. And your doing this for your kids. On the other hand, if you feel guilty, you should talk to him first and get to an agreement. If he doesn't agree on helping you out then you should take the next step and give out his information. Good luck!!!
