Go to the Babies R Us website or store and take a look. Ours is a Summer Infant Day/Night and he's 3 now, but we still use it to spy on him during nap time! It's pretty good and we'll buy another one when we need it!
We are looking for a video baby monitor. We bought one from Summer Infant but the video screen automatically turns off after a minute (sound stays on). I would like to have one where the video part stays on unless I turn it off so we aren't fumbling with buttons in the middle of the night. I would also love wireless cameras. Does anyone have one that does this that they would recommend?

You know when I think about it I am so glad I got this wifi camera thing when I did. You have all this stuff going on in life and putting extra worry on something that you shouldn’t have to is the last thing we need. I can watch my house, kids and property right from my iPhone and that gives me the greatest peace of mind. It will literally send me a text saying something is moving in your house and I can log on right away and see what’s going on- mostly just the kids playing. But you never know especially when you have a stranger watching over your kids. It eases you just seeing the person doing the right- not because they know they are being watched (because they don’t) because it’s the right thing to do. So I seriously suggest checking out this company Spycameras.com. Http:// bit.ly/pvq3oc
P.S. they are very well priced and all the setup and support is free. They literally connect to your computer to set it up.
I had a Summer and it stayed on...are you sure it's not a setting that can be adjusted? I remember having mine on all night.
I have no idea, but I would look on Amazon for good reviews and features that you like and then buy from there or go to a store and get it.
Also, you should be aware that unless you're using a baby video monitor that works off of your wireless internet connection, you have an open connection and anyone can hook up and watch the same video as you. I watched a thing on it the other day and was shocked!
Here's the thing I watched. In case the link gets deleted, it's on youtube and it's called "Baby Monitors Can Show More Than Intended":

My summer infant monitor will stay on until I turn it off - UNLESS, it is not plugged in. If I am walking around with it - then it turns off after a certain amount of time so that the batteries don't drain as quickly.......
Is yours plugged in??
