So lately I have been having an issue with lets say firmness of the bowels. It happens when I eat cheese. I love cheese this is a problem for me. So my question is what could be causing this? It is not like I have ever had this problem before and it has been going on for days now!

Its not that it makes me constipated. It is doing the opposite.

What can I do next?

Cheese will do that. My guess is that it's a problem this time because you didn't eat it with as much fiber (whole grains, raw fruits and veggies, etc) and because it's getting warmer and you are more likely to be dehydrated. Just try to be more conscious of getting the fiber and water you need and if necessary cut back on the cheese a bit.

LOL cheese bungs you up. Thats all there is to it. Unless you are lactoce intolerant and then it will do the opposite but cheese just naturally will cause you to have harder stool
Bananas are also known to do this as well

Yup, it's the cheese. Eat it in moderation, add fiber and drink more water.

If cheese is causing you trouble, try to stop eating it for a while and see if it gets better. Reintroduce it later on, a little bit at the time, until your body reaccepts it.

Lactose intolerance runs in my family - and it doesn't start showing symptoms until adulthood.

But you know cheese makes you constipated, right? (all by itself, no lactose intolerance involved)

Unrelatedly, I take Metamucil (for cholesterol), and it solved....well it solved your issue. :)
