My daughter's Bat Mitzvah is coming up in about a year and a half. We will be on a very very tight budget. But I do want to have a good party for her. I don't even know where to begin to look for a venue. Has anyone ever used Celebrations in Flower Mound? How expensive are they? I am anticipating between 75 and 100 people. I would like for there to be room for dancing. I would like a night time party but I am also open to a lunch time party. It will be on a Saturday. I needs to be in the area of Flower Mound, Lewisville or Denton. Any suggestions? What kind of cost do you think I am looking at just for the venue? Has anyone ever rented the big room at Denton Civic Center? How much was it?

What can I do next?

Hey S.! Have you looked at TWU? I'm actually working here as I type this. Hubbard Hall has a number of venues you could consider. Rent is reasonable and it's really beautiful. Come check it out. I'll be here today if you want to come by, until 11 this morning and again this evening from 4-11. If not give them a call this week for rates ###-###-#### :) -A.

Hi S.!

I am not sure about cost, but I will say that the Denton Visual Arts Center is a much prettier venue than the Civic Center. I've been to a wedding there, and it would more than accomodate the number of people you plan for. Also, I haven't been personally, but a friend just went to a wedding reception at Brighton Gardens in Corinth (at I-35 and Post Oak Blvd). She said it was really nice!

I second Anyah's recommendations at TWU. Beautiful campus. Lovely rooms! Hope you find a great fit for your budget and your daughter's Bat Mitzvah!

God's Grace to you,

Lisa :)

Look at the Venetian Terrace. You could have the dancing outside.

I am not that familiar with your area but ....

Check out the country clubs in your area. Even the private clubs have events which are planned for non-members.

Also check out the hotels and see what a dining / dance area would be.

We re members of a high end country club and we've had several parties with 75-100 ppl and it has not been THAT expensive (although I don't know what "expensive" or "budget" means to you)

Count on about $20 minimum per guest for food/drink, dance floor is about $150, DJ is about $500 and up plus tip.

Good luck to you.
