Hi M.,
I had a VBAC 3 years after a c-section that went along the same lines as what you describe in your e-mail. Dr. Terry Cole in Ventura was my doctor, and I would never allow another doctor to cut me open based on previous c-section or age, or just "high risk" status if the pregnancy was progressing fine. In fact, I learned so much about asking for space, ability to move freely about my room, to run if I wanted to, to be in any position I wanted to during my second pregnancy, that I can tell you from experience that it is extremely possible and a very rewarding experience to have a vaginal delivery with the second child. Look up Dr. Cole and call him up for a second opinion for anything they tell you here in Santa Monica. I am here in Culver City, so if you need any other information about my breastfeeding experience and guidance or other resources and prepping for a VBAC, e-mail me directly at ____@____.com Be well and remember it is possible, you just have to find the doctor that is willing to work with you!
