Since this year Valentines Day is during the week my husband and I decieded to just stay home and be with the kids. I wanted to make it a little bit more special then just every night dinner. I have a hard enough time coming up normal dinner ideas so I thought I would ask if anyone has any good idea's or something fun that would make that night special & different

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I have decieded to combo all suggestions and do a picnic in the living room with fondue and have everything we dip sut into heart shapes...and I left the hubby to pick up dessert. It will probably be a cake from the grocery store but thats ok...makes him feel involved and special...LOL...

Thank you for all suggestions & Happy Valemtines Day! <333

I have the same plans. All I know is that I going to make something really chocolaty for dessert!

How about a candlelight picnic dinner (if your 4 year old isn't too rambunctious!). The meal could be anything, just spiced up because it's served on a blankie on the floor with candles on the mantle or something. Play some pretty music, decorate with hearts, etc.

Let us know what you end up doing- we may want to borrow your idea!

Heart shaped everything!

Target has a mini heart shaped pan for $2 and we are going to do heart shaped eggs and pancakes for breakfast. You could get heart shaped cookies for desert. Sugar cookies and let the older ones frost and decorate them. They also have heart, X, O, and lip shapped cookie cutters. Cut everything into those shapes. Or draw hearts on the plates with a colored syrup of some kind.

I agree with Melissa, "heart shaped everything" I even saw heart shaped rice krispies treats that are dipped in chocolate. You'll find some really great ideas on this website: www.famiyfun.com
