We used to have the chedder cheese sliced thick and cut it into fun shapes depending on the occasin. The kids loved and devoured them.
Hi everyone. You guys always have some great ideas so I thought I would ask again. I need some ideas for a simple craft and snack for my daughter's first grade class. I'm guessing there will be about an hour set aside for the party. Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Go to: ricekrispies.com for the recipe for Valentine cut-out treats. My kids always love these:)

I saw a cute idea for a snack a couple of years ago...make red jello and with a cookie cutter, cut out heart shapes. Put each heart on a little paper doilie.
This website has great ideas....
Hi Tara,
I was room parent for years for both my kids in their elementary school. There are many ideas out there. A very simple craft is to buy foam hearts already cut out out or you can but foam sheets in red, pink or even purple and trace a heart with a stencil or even a heart shaped cookie cutter. Have the kids make a face on the heart with markers or buy plastic eyes. Then attach a piece of magnet to the back for a refrigerator magnet. Another very simple craft is to buy pencils, pipe cleaners and small foam hearts. Punch a very small hole in the heart, slip the pipe cleaner thru the heart, wrap the pipe cleaner around the pencil with the heart at the top. As for a snack, heart shaped sugar cookies are simple to bake and then you can buy frosting, and sprinkles for the kids to decorate. Have fun!!!
