My son is younger (almost 7) but he is really into baseball and football trading cards right now. Also sports bobbleheads. I also got him some yummy hot chocolate packets and a small bean bag animal.
I was out today looking at all the valentine stuff and was able to pick up some cute things for my girls... but they are easy. I always get them little things that tell them each I love them and think of them... nothing expensive or extravagant. Any suggestions for a valentine gift for a boy who is turning 11. I don't want to give candy because we have a ton of candy in this house. So moms- what are you giving your boys for valentines day? Thanks

Does he like to read? Check out http://jlkwilson.barefootbooks.com/ for some unique stories - there are compilations of stories about Knights and also Pirates.
I don't have a child that age, but for Christmas I gave a boy cousin age 13 a small wooden treasure box full of things he can use on his boyscout trips and stuff. I put matches, compass, itch relief, and other things along those lines. He LOVED it!!! I think this idea would work for any child. Just take what they are interested in and fill a box with small inexpensive items to go along with that hobby.
For my son (8y), I found a hard to find video game that he's been asking for, and a 'Star Wars' t-shirt.
How about a new video game? Or a giftcard for him to pick out a new one.
