It's called "queefing". Not sure what *exactly* your original Q was... but as to frequency, fairly often with good/acrobatic sex.
Here's a wiki on it

Thanks for your reply Marda. Can I know how often you experience this and did you consult a doctor

I have experienced this and I'm not sure why it happens every once in awhile. I suspect it means that in some way air has entered my vagina. One idea is that I've passed gas thru my anus and the air was held in by my clothes and entered my vagina. Another idea is that air has entered when I'm active with my legs somewhat open.
I'm not concerned about them. It's just another one of those things our body does. If it were a medical issue something more than the occasional farts would have happened by now. I'm 67 yo.
Later: in response to P.'s second question: I've long ago stopped paying any attention and so can only tell you it's not very often. I'd guess maybe 2-3 times/year now. No I didn't ask a doctor about it. I'm guessing that I first noticed it after having had sex, tho I'd forgotten that until others answered with that reason. I never thought of it as a problem.
I've had several abdominal surgeries because of endometriosis and cysts and eventually had a hysterectomy because of the endo and uterine fibroid tumors. Lots of abdominal and vaginal exams. I just figure that if something wrong was causing this, the doctors would have noticed and talked with me about it.
I have only ever experienced it after sex in certain positions. It is like when you take in too much air when eating or drinking and you burp, same but at the other end. Air enters through activity and it has to exit.
Me too, never really thought much about it, 'cept to have a good chuckle with my guy (yeah it's SO big not even any room left in there for air! hahaha)
yup have them the first time it happened my hubby was like what the hell was that we lauged becasue really what else can you do it most often happens after having baby/babies didn't happen before I had them. Now after 3 kids I hate certain positions because it is guarenteed to happen but hey we can all use a good laugh...
kegal exercises will help with this. after babies we get a little "looser" down in that area. The kegal's will help to "tighten" things up so it doesn't happen so often.
It is NORMAL - and not something that needs a dr. consult. It is just air that gets trapped in the vagina - finding its way back out. Usually happens in certain sexual positions and is NOT a reason for concern.
