I took my son for his 2 month vaccines and the nurse only gave him 3 shots and one oral, my cousins baby got 5 at his 2 months... My boss printed something out for me that shows they should get 5... Now im worried about how come my son didn't get as many... Does anyone remember how many their children got at 2 months?!
Thanks to everyone who responded- i asked his pedi and he said some are combined!!! So he got lucky because his little cousin got each one seperate! Thanks again!

I can't remember off the top of my head. But, I know that some vaccinations are given as "combos"...1 shot vaccinates for more than one disease.
Some of the vaccines are combined into a single shot. Check with your doctor about what was in each shot. Your son probably got everything he needs.
My kids' pediatrician gives a maximum of 4 shots at a time. He makes it up on the next visit. I would call your dr and ask for their reasoning. Keeping an open line of communication is very important for both sides. They should be your first source for information. If you do not trust your dr or his procedures than find a new one. My dr's office has a nurse to answer questions such as yours and I used them all the time when I children were younger.
Good luck!
The American Academy of Pediatrics 2007 recommended vaccine schedule call for the HIB, PC, DTap, Rotovirus and Polio Vaccines at the 2 month visit. I agee with the other responses you have gotten. Check with your dr. Prehaps 2 of the vaccines were combined or the dr. only wants to do so many at a time. (I only allowed my son to get 2 vaccines at a time and am going to make up the others later). A great book at a resource on vaccines is The Vaccine Book by Robert Sears.
Often the vaccines are combined, or given on a different schedule - it often varies so don't worry. Your baby will get all the needed shots, just given in different time tables. Every child's schedule can be different.
Take care.
Some vaccines can be combined into one shot, so you likely did get the 5 recommended, just your child was not subjected to 5 needle sticks. Ask your doctor to make sure
I just recently took my daughter to get her 2 month shots.
She got 2 and one oral (one shot was in stock and she has to go back for it.) So that would make it right at about what your son got as well.
