Vacation Rentals in WI or MI

My husband and I decided that next summer we would like to rent a place for a month for our family. I understand that prime dates go quickly so I figure now would be a good time to start working on it. However, we don't know where to start. I looked online for a rental agency to get an idea of prices and places available. Has anyone done this before and can recommend a starting point or a rental property company? Any help would be great. Thanks.

There is a rental next to our cottage on Cloverleaf Lakes, Clintonville, WI. It's a very nice place. It's like a regular house! I'm not sure what is available for next summer, but it might worth the look.

Good Luck and Happy Vacation!!

Also... Door County in WI has a lot of small resorts with individual resorts. One that comes to mind is Alpine Resort near Egg Harbor. It's right on the Bay. Lots of places to go and do in Door County.

http://rsvp-rentals.com/ is a rental co in SW Michigan (union pier area). I highly recommend VRBO though -- prices are lower and there's tons to choose from.

Have fun!

I can't give you details because I was younger when we did it, but we used to rent a cabin at Christmas Village near the Dells in WI. We did it during the winter, usually, because there was a TON to do, but I think they have a lot to do in the summer as well and it's a beautiful resort.

VRBO.com! We use it 1-2 times per year to find vacation rentals all over the country. I have never had a bad experience or felt that a property was misrepresented by the pictures, etc.

D., a family member has a place in Pentwater, Michigan, about a 4 1/2-5 hr drive from the Chicagoland area. It's right on the water and has Lake Michigan water/plumbing. The place is run by a rental agency. Contact me if you'd more information and I can send you the link to view! :)

The best place to find rental properties is a website called vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owner). You can search by location, type of property, etc. All the properties include photos and a description of the property.
