O.O.
We've had luck with vacation rentals listed on VRBO.
Hi, my family and I are trying to plan a trip in August to the Smoky Mountains. We would like to rent either a condo or a cabin at a resort in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. We need one with 3 bedrooms to accommodate my family of 5 as well as my parents. Does anyone have any suggestions? TIA

I'll second the VRBO! Great destination! That trip was one of our favorites EVER!!!
We did the same vacation and it was one of my favorite most memorable, enjoyable vacations ever. We also drove to Ashville and went to Biltmore Estates, which was fantastic and also white water rafting, so fun!!!! I cannot recall where we stayed, I'm sure you will find a place. Have fun
Patriot Rentals are good. So are Aunt Bug's Cabins.
There is also a timeshare group there (I'll think of the name in a minute) that you can rent their units, some are actually separate units, so you could have the parents in their own unit above you in a 1BR while you and kids are in a bigger 1BR with fold out sofa, or 2 BR. We did it that way once. It was awesome... on the parkway in between Gatlinburg and PF.

Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort.
We went there when they were still under construction and visited (didn't buy, bc we won't buy a time share.. but if we did, it would be this one). We stayed a week.

Hi! We rented this past summer through Hearthside Cabin Rentals in Pigeon Forge. I really loved the Smoky Mountains and was so glad we stayed out in a cabin...it seemed really far out at first, but it was really about 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge. I loved all the time in the mountains and driving to North Carolina across them. It was so beautiful. The cabin was clean and the rental people were nice. The only disappointment was the indoor pool as advertised was hard to find and we really never used it, but we had so much else to do we really didn't miss it. One other thing I would mention is to ask about the view wherever you rent...our cabin and wrap around deck was nestled in the trees and was really neat, but I think next time we will ask for one with a more open view of the mountains.
