Looking for places to stay in Haynnis Port MA.
We also need family ideas to visit for things to do.
We have a 3 yr old to entertain.
We hope to stay at a place on the beach with a pool also.
Thanks Mamas!

3 year old entertainment ideas--hit Target's $1 section for small activities. Yesterday I found some "Stick-its" (corn starch pellets that stick together when you wet them) and a foam door hanger craft kit for our vacation in July. I'm collecting & hiding some small activities (coloring books, play doh, new markers, silly putty, etc) to bring along and break out one surprise a day. Check Walmart for inflatable beach balls that would pack easily in a suitcase.

Have fun!

We go to the cape every year, but always in off season. When are you planning on going?

The beach will keep the little one entertained for hours. Bring along a few pails and shovels. You can walk along and collect treasures, build sand castles, or swim.

The Kennedy Memorial is a great spot to have a picnic lunch, with tables in the shade. There's a small playground, however, it's geared toward older kids. There's also a small beach area, and in low tide you can see small water creatures like crabs and little fish. The bathrooms have always been clean.

I haven't been in almost 10 years and didn't have a good experience, but there's the Zooquarium in Yarmouth. You could check on-line opinion sites to see if it's been upgraded.

I don't recommend a whale watch for a 3 year old. IMO it's just too young, you'll spend too much time worrying about his safety. Also, a big part of going on a whale watch is learning about the whales, not just viewing.

You'll find several mini-golf courses.

There's a pirate adventure, where you go out on a boat. I'll see if I can find the exact name for you. I've never been, but have heard it's great.

I stayed there years ago. Great place! I have many times rented people's time shares and gotten great deals doing this, for a place much better for a family to stay in than one hotel room. We stayed in a place in Williamsburg for a week for $600 which was a 2 BR 2 bathroom apartment with a full kitchen and indoor and outdoor pools etc. While in Hyannis, go whale watching on a boat, go to the beach, eat yummy seafood. Keep it simple...as you said, you have a 3 YO :-)
