Hi K. - I did use those and they were correct. The symptoms aren't always severe. My doctor was surprised I didn't have a lot of pain.
I have been having some issues and think it's a UTI. I haven't ran a fever or anything, just the burning and increase number of trips to the restroom with limited results. I took one of those at home AZO tests and it came back with Nitric definitly. The WBC was paritially discolored purple but also normal in other spots. I was wondering if anyone else had used these strips, and if they were accurate. I don't mind calling and going to the doctor, but my syptoms aren't severe so I'm not sure if that's whats actually going on or not.
I haven't had a UTI since I was pregnant 6 years ago, and that was the first one in about 15 years. I don't really know what they "feel like". I know it's kinda a personal question, but any suggestions would be helpful.

Any infection is worth treating and left untreated can cause other problems that you don't want to mess with. Call your doctore ASAP.
I have never used those but if you suspect it , then it probably is a UTI. Drink plenty of water and eleminate sodas and caffine if it doesn't improve in a few days go see your DR.
My for sure sign of a UTI has been the "feeling" of having to go terribly bad, but not much comes out. I don't get pain, fevers, etc. until it is at the point where I need an antibiotic. By knowing the "feeling," I can start treating it myself. ie:cranberry juice My 7yr old daughter is the same way. She virtually has no symptoms when one is coming on. I found out about hers because she peed the bed one night, which was not normal for her.
I used to get them all the time. You don't always have pain but the urge to go is always there. It didn't always burn when I went either. I bought those strips so I could test myself to make sure before I would call the doctor and I think they are pretty accurate.
Just drink lots of water and if you can, drink some cranberry juice too. Or buy the capsules because some people don't like the taste of cranberry juice. If it dosen't improve in the next couple of days it dosen't hurt to make a doctor's appointment. You don't want to let it go too long!
