My daughter is 3 and we decided to stop pull-ups all together. She wasnt getting the connection that she had to wear them at times and at other times not. So, just stopped one day. Well, the first week went great. My husband is a night-owl so he has her go potty 1-2 times before he goes to bed and she use to stay dry till morning. The past few days she has been going potty 2 times before midnight and then still has 1-2 accidents after that. Last night she had 3 accidents between 1-730am. I dont think she she should be going to the bathroom this frequently at night especially since we really limit her fluids before bed. Last night she only had 2 small glasses of milk-Ikea sized glasses that were half full. Could she have a UTI or just have a small bladder?

What can I do next?

I don't know what size the Ikea glasses are but milk does have a lot of sugar in it. Sugar tends to make people urinate more often. Try switching to water. It could just be a relapse, but if your worried call the doctor. They can always run the test to make sure.

My daughter is 5 and has 2 UTI's and both times it hurt so bad to go pee she didn't want to go. Plus it smelled really bad so if she isn't complaining that it hurts I don't think she has a UTI.

if your daughter has a UTI, she would probably show some signs: frequent urge to go potty and nothing coming out, complaints that it hurts to go potty, fever, or tummy aches. i dont think it is unusual to be inconsisten with potty training at 3, especially night training. ask her to see if she is having any systoms as listed above and if she says yes, take her in or call the doctor.

My daughter had her 1st uti at almost 4yrs. She started going really often, but also said it hurt. If it hurts , take her to the ped. and have a urinalisis done. When my daughter had symtoms again,(6mo. to yr. later) her test came back neg. for uti. They had us do a bunch of other tests cause there was traces of blood and protien in her urine. turns out she is prone to kidney stones(calcium and sodium crystals present in her urine) we have to limit her sodium intake and try to up her fluid intake and do more tests. I guess I would at least call the ped. Good luck!

Stick to water 1.5 hours before bed. That is what our doctors said!
