We don't have an ipad but, I have an opprotunity to use one (for a few weeks) and download any aps. I'd like.
Which aps. do your children spend the most time interacting with?
What aps. have you found useful (educationally) and fun for your children?

What can I do next?

My daughter has been playing on our iPad since she was 2 and now she's almost 4... so it's hard to judge. Her favorites have been: Tozzle, Highlights (HidPix), Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, matching/memory games, Lunch Box, Monkey Math, Phone4Kids, and anything by "DuckDuck Moose."

Generally, I don't like to buy apps... yes, I'm cheap like that. But, once we found out how much she liked the "DuckDuck Moose" apps, we ended up buying 5 or 6 of them! She also likes some of the books that read aloud.

Oh yeah, and there's Talking Tom and Talking John--kids love to hear their voices recorded! :) PS, if you have Dish network, you can get an adapter to access your system (live tv, DVR, etc). Can also do this with Netflix (if you have a membership)! Enjoy the iPad!

My kids (4 and 2) love the You Tube! I just search for things they like...trains, cars, Mickey Mouse, etc... And they'll watch videos for hours. They're quite savvy with it. Even the toddler.

We also use abcmouse.com. There's a lot of good games/activities for older kids with reading and learning.

And of course, the basics...you can download free memory matching games, light bright, bowling, angry birds.

My four year old has just discovered two apps she LOVES! Team Umi Zoomi (not sure if that is the correct spelling) math app. She can unlock new games within the app as she goes. She also likes the Hello Kitty apps (most of those are free). We also just discovered the Easy Bake Oven app (again, free) and she loves making the cookies, cupcakes and cakes and decorating them. She has a couple of others that she plays alot, but those are the ones she is really into.
