Vinegar always helps me! :)
My son wet the bed last night and for some reason the mattress protector wasn't on. Anyone have remedies to get rid of the god awful smell?
Vinegar always helps me! :)
I bought a small pump spray of an odor eliminator at Wal-Mart in the air freshener section. It is only about 8 oz. and not too expensive. It has no real scent except just smelling cleaner. Seems like it was a white spray bottle with maybe a teal label. I used it every time we had accidents and I would spray it on the mattress and in the air as I walked backward out of the room. It even took the urine smell out of the"boys" bathroom. I loved it and will be looking for it again as we get rid of pull ups when I am ready to try night time with out pull ups.
Odor ban and other sprays have very strong scents, odor ban gives me the worst migraine... Be sure it is something you can live with, once it is on the mattress it will smell through the sheets and you will be able to smell the fragrance.
Nature's Miracle. They sell it in the pet aisles at Walmart, Target, and Petsmart. Works wonders!!
Sol-U-Mel and be sure to let the mattress dry completely before putting sheets and protector back on.
Odoban! Our cat peed in our car and this was the only thing that worked!
Odoban! They sell it at Walmart and Sams club. Great product! I always keep a gallon on hand. It will clean the stain and remove the smell.
You can also use Vinegar........Sol-U-Mel would be the best, but if you need to spray it with vinegar and then let it air out as long as you can...............if it is a small mattress, drag it outside if you can, hose it down, or spray it down and let the sun dry it.....
Good Luck and take care.
