Updating....

When was the last time you updated your profile pic? I just updated mine since last one was 5 months ago and Corrin is now 6 months (Raven is also now 6 y/o)

Also, in a previous post... I was venting about my son's caregiver allowing her child to get mine sick (runny nose/cold) - which wasn't exactly that bad, but still it got me sick. Well... now she's gone and done it again. Her daughter was feverish (over 101) Sunday, we asked her to call us Monday evening to tell us her status and if she was still sick (so I could call around for alternate care). Monday night - oh sure, she's fine - bring him on over tomorrow.

After we took him home tonight, we get a call 2 hours later saying the Pediatrician diagnoses their little girl with Hand, Foot and Mouth disease... ... ... ... OMFG!!! SO all day this lady allows her child all over mine, not knowing she was still sick - ACH!!! If I could find a similarly priced NON DAYCARE situation, I'd jump on it!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I received many questions about updating photo:

You have to just choose file button (under pic on profile), once chosen file is clicked and you say ok/open, it will show up on the as text under your old pic - then press upload button

I would keep my child with the same sitter while both kids have Hand Foot and Mouth then move my child to a new sitter. At least though frustrating Hand Foot and Mouth is not a deadly or even really uncomfortable illness, just really contagious.

My ex-husband did that to me all the time. He would pick up the kids for the weekend and then go visit people and the people would be sick and my kids would get sick and get me sick. This went on for months and months. His excuse--they get exposed to it in school anyway, my younger one wasn't in school yet.

Some people just don't get it.

I haven't been ABLE to update anything in months. The link is broken. No response from MP in trying to get it fixed.

I haven't updated my pic in a few months, Facebook was updating it every time I changed it there but it stopped.

And yeah.... I hate it when people get my gets sick, especially in avoidable social situations. Like my daughters bday party or letting their kid come over coming down off a vicious flu.

And what am I supposed to do.... Send them away?

i get that you're frustrated but i don't see how it's fair to point this at your caregiver. you say yourself "all day this lady allows her child all over mind, not knowing she was still sick.." right?

some of this is unavoidable if your child doesn't live in a bubble. mine went through hf/m at daycare - ALL the kids got it. it was miserable. if she had known her daughter had it and exposed the other kids, that'd be one thing.

i didn't read your previous post, but you're right, runny nose/cold is not a big deal. most schools/daycares do NOT quarantine for this. it's part of life. an inconvenience, that's all. sorry you're having such a rough time.
