V.T.
Please update with info on hardwoods. When are they going to invent something to do my laundry? At this point, I'd take anything that folds it and puts it away.
yep, didn't have the lid snapped shut. Just did the bathroom and ALL the dirty water got sucked up.
Also - it has vacuum in front of it, so no need to pre-sweep or pre-vacuum. Then it mops, and then it sucks up the dirty water. All in one pass!
Everybody want one yet?
Just did the living room - still awesome.
Jo - yes, it has sensors that keep it one room. They call it a "virtual wall" and it's just a little box shooting out a beam that the scooba (or roomba) "sees" as a wall.
Hardwoods - Victoria and Fang - yes, it does all "flat surface floors". We have hardwood floors and tile that i'm using it on. Works on both great.
Soap - it does have a special soap, but you can also use plain water. I believe there are other soaps you can get - Just no bleach.
Pattern - random, but it "remembers" the floor so it all gets covered.
Dampness - when you put the lid down all the way, it's almost dry when it's done. It's mostly dry, but for a few small spots that dry in 10 min or so.

Well this just brings all your sucking up to a whole new level, doesn't it?
;)
Does the scooba have the little sensors that keep it in one room? If I could trap it in my kitchen all day I could see it being a useful device!

Victoria, isn't that what we had kids for? Of course mine don't work, perhaps user error. :)
so do you not need the roomba if you have this since it has a vaccum too? why wont they make one for carpets . most of my place is tile and wood though so you may have convinced M. to search craigslist=)
Jealous! I'd get one but then what would my teenagers do with their spare time? Maybe when they all leave the house and it's my job to do floors again...
Can it be used on hardwood? Does it leave floors wet/damp? Does it move in random patterns? Does it require a special cleaning solution?
Thanks for the update! It's on my wish list. :)
I could totally use both! maybe then I would have more time for laundry
