I just wanted to add another update (I put one on my original thread, but I don't think people were reading it) my previous post on the faint line on pregnancy test. This is the third time this has happened to me. I got my period last night. I get positive tests and then my period comes. I think I may be able to get pregnant, but it's not implanted enough to stop my period from coming and pushing it out (is that even possible?). Thanks for all your comments, and I do think most of you are right, a positive is a positive. If anyone has any advice on my situation, I would appreciate it, but thank you so much for your previous comments. N.

So What Happened?

Well, I did talk to the doctor yesterday (1/4), and they are pretty sure that it was a chemical pregnancy. They wanted to start me back on Clomid like I did for my last, but I really don't want to go through that again. I have two beautiful children, and I will be happy if that's what God's plan is for me. I am going to try progesterone later in my cycles, but that's it. We'll see if that works! Thanks for all your help!

I agree with what everyone else has said. The most likely cause is a luteal phase defect. See your OB/Gyn I am sure that they will be happy to help. For me all it took was progesterone supplementation. I had it for 4 pregnancies out of 8, Had I only known the solution, that might have saved a lot of heart ache. Good luck!

A lot of women don't even know it happens to them but it's possible to have an early miscariage and get your period to flush it out.

sounds like you are having chemical pregnancies or VERY early miscarriages... if you are wanting another child, i'd get with your OB and see about possibly running some bloodwork or seeing if he/she would prescribe progesterone vaginal suppositories for you to take starting a few days after you ovulate next time you are trying to conceive. good luck!

It sounds like you are having chemical pregnancies. I would suggest that you talk to your doctor about this, you may need progesterone after you ovulate to help you "stay" pregnant. This is not an uncommon problem and is very easy to fix. I took progesterone when ttc both times and throughout my 1st trimester with both pregnancies.

Good luck!
